Cherry Blossom Chopsticks

Western civilizations regard chopsticks as a fun and cultured way to handle food. When decorated, as these are with delicate cherry blossoms, they lend elegance to any event.

The use of chopsticks is believed to have started in China during the Shang Dynasty (1600 – 1100 BC), and are the common utensils for eating most food in the Orient. Although looked at by many to be difficult to use, they are really quite simple. Place the two wooden sticks between your thumb and forefinger, much like a tong, then pinch them together. After a little practice you can even pick up small pieces of rice! By placing these lovely chopsticks at each setting you offer your guests a choice of utensils, and add a romantic flair to your event.

Each wooden chopstick is 9” long, and come in a clear sleeve tied with a white satin bowl. Tags are not included.
